Hi Mark,

I apologize for not letting you know sooner but we have been busy with the kids, work and still unpacking from the move.

Our move was done on Dec 7, 2006 and it is Jan 27, 2007 today and we are still unpacking our boxes just to let you know the amount of stuff your guys had to move from NJ to Long Island. They are the best!! They were there at 8am (5 guys and 2 trucks) and ready to go even if we weren't all packed yet. They were very efficient and organized. They packed and loaded up all our stuff in the two trucks by 11:30! (we had quite a bit of stuff as you know with the 2 toddlers). They made it to LI in plenty of time in the afternoon to finish unloading by 5:30pm. Not a scratch anywhere, no broken items, no hassles at all. Your guys were the consummate professionals and very thorough.

I recommend your company to everyone I know. I am hoping that this is our last move and that we're staying put in our house for a long time but if we do move, your services/company will be the only ones we will use.

Once again Kathleen and I wish to express our appreciation for your flexibility and understanding when the elevator system in our building broke down causing a 4-hour delay in our scheduled move. You and your crew's willingness to stand by us; reschedule yourselves until repairs were completed on our building's elevator system impressed both us and the management staff of our apt building with your professionalism, patience, and commitment to your clients. As I expressed in our telephone conversation earlier, both the superintendent, concierge, and building manager, who were present during the situation, were so impressed by your crew's ability to work with and around the unforeseen emergency situation, that they were eager to have your company's business card in order to recommend your services to their other tenants. Hopefully, the 42-floor high rise will bring you a well-deserved business.

I particularly appreciated your crew's respect and appreciation for our property.. What we have means a lot to us - and they handled our property accordingly throughout the entire move. Before contacting you, we had asked around for a reliable and responsible moving company. Nobody.. and I mean nobody had anything good to say about "any" moving company.. everyone had a horror story to tell. It is great for us to have found a company that values not only its clients, but the property and belongings which they care about and have worked hard to acquire - a company that takes pride in their services; who doesn't gouge in their fees, but acts fairly and responsbily. We hope you never lose that personal caring approach.

I wanted to say thanks to your movers. On Monday morning, they moved me from the UWS to Brooklyn. They were fast and efficient, and kept a sense of humor moving me to a walk-up brownstone in this heat. I also wanted to see if it was possible to send them a tip by check/mail. In the chaos of moving, I think I tipped about $30 for three movers. I meant to have more cash on hand, but didn't. I also couldn't find my check book b/c it was packed in one of the boxes. If I write a check, whom should I make the check out to and will it be passed onto the movers?

Sorry this is so late in coming but I just wanted to commend you on the excellence of every aspect of your business: from your extraordinarily professional and conscientious movers, to the friendly and professional customer support via phone and email, to your groovy and gothic graphic design iconography on the side of your truck. We have moved too many times in too short a period of time and have never had such a seamless and smooth move. John (the foreman/driver guy) was so buddhist and unharried that it seemed like he was actually pruning bonsai trees rather than lifting insanely heavy wall units and hauling them up flights and more flights of stairs. He lent unending calm, warmth and professionalism to the proceedings that I as the neurotic, sleep deprived, stimulant driven customer really needed. Nacho was just lovely and considerate and yet lifted more than Atlas could have. And of course Vitaly (name?) was the navigatrix or, dare I say, the yoda of the move, making his mental blueprints, while also working like an ox, and treating my furniture like it was Hermitage worthy. I kept telling the guys that I wasn't so precious about my things but they were so gentle and protective. Really delightful men, each one of them.

I'm sorry i'm forgetting the name of the woman with whom I spoke on the phone -- was it Andrea? -- but she was also wonderful. I was so stressed when i called, having brilliantly decided three days before my move to first get quotes and she talked me down from the ledge, and assured me that I'd come to the right place.

I've already recommended you to my friends (Chloe and Morgan) who are moving next week and I think they are going to call if they haven't already. And I hope to bring you a steady stream of business as more of my friends get pushed out of their nice homes by greedy, gouging landlords. Luckily Movers Not Shakers can gently squeeze all of their furniture into their new shitholes with ease and acumen.

The only minor occurance was the broken cocktail table glass top. Your employee Max suggested I call a local glass shop to get an estimate. I got a verbal estimate of $50.00 to raplace the glass. If this is acceptable, then please forward a check for that amount to my home address in Charlotte.

By the way your employees were very proffesional, courteous, and careful in every way! I'm sure you are aware how stressful a move can be to a client and you made it very painless. You delivered what you promised! I would be happy to recomend you to any one!

I was recommended Movers Not Shakers by a friend and was extremely pleased with the reliability and quality of service received.

I moved out of Manhattan to NJ and asked to have my belongings dropped off at two different locations approximately 5 miles from each other. They did this with no questions asked and at no additional charge.

I found the crew to be extremely friendly, professional and pleasant.

In addition, their price was very competitive, in fact, less expensive than many other companies in the area.

I would use Movers Not Shakers again without hesitation and am happy to recommend them to any potential client.

Just wanted to let you know that our move was excellent despite the poor weather (and torrential rains at periods) during the day of our move.

My wife owns her own retail business and rarely gets the good news, only the bad, and so she suggested I write you to let you know our
appreciation and the positive feedback for your young business. Max was our foreman (I forget the names of the other two individuals) and they were all very nice and accommodating. They were careful with our stuff and since they did not have tarps to cover the boxes (which I would recommend providing during moves when it rains) during the transfers to the truck during the torrential rains, they moved all of our stuff to the lobby and tranferred to the truck when the rain lightened up.

Anyway, good luck with your business and we will definitely recommend you to anyone that we know!!

Great attention to detail and a real sense of giving you what you want. They came later than the time we scheduled --- but that's going to happen. But a great positive that came out of that situation was that they called me twice and gave me updates on when they would come. I thought that showed a lot of customer care. I definitely recommend their service.

Just a note to commend the crew from Movers, Not Shakers that you dispatched to move me from Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn to Trenton, New Jersey this last
Saturday, September 25. Your driver, Max, is especially deserving of commendation. He provided effective initiative and considerate management of the whole process. The packing and loading took from 8am to 5pm. The men worked diligently throughout with every consideration given to my belongings. When we arrived at my new apartment in Trenton, the unloading and placement of boxes, setting up my bed, and placment of furniture was done quickly and efficiently. The move ended around 9pm.

THANK YOU for providing me with this reliable team of movers! They really knew what they were doing.

I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with my move today. It had been such a stressful week, and your guys made this day so much easier. Your price was great (and I received many estimates before finding you), and the movers were like dynamos. I have never seen such a display of endurance and strength!! Mark, Your company made a move (that I put off for 21 years) a pleasure. I know this was not the easiest of moves due to the multiple locations Ð multiple pick-ups and drop-offs. The fact that you were able to make the move in just 2 days due to the size was a great relief to all of us at our company. All the valuable art works that we have accumulated throughout the years (67 pieces) were wrapped perfectly without any damage to either the frames or the glass.
